In this unprecendented era, corporates are dealing with liquidity issues which directly impact solvency. One of the key considerations is the durability and reliability of the supply chain. On the table are centralizations, alternative configurations, and proactive early lease extensions while securing free rent. The key is that when the virus passes and we come out of the trough, that we are ready to handle the snap back and catch the wind when it returns.
This environment while challenging provides an opportunity to do a reset. Some firms will unfortunately not survive but those that do will have used this time to make strategic decisions about their warehouse network so that is serves them best when better times come.
